I'm Featured

One of my posts is being featured over at Hello Grief. If you've been following for a while you may recognize it, if you're a new follower then this will be new to you. It's one I wrote back in May and I consider it one of my most honest and vulnerable posts. It may change the way you think of me.

This is the second time that one of my posts has been featured at this site. I am still surprised when other sites want to share my thoughts with their readers but I'm happy to think that they are helping others through their grief journey.

Check it out here if you like.

  1. What a beautiful and heart wrenching post. I had a friend who was three months ahead of me, and I had so many of the same feelings. If I hadn't gotten pregnant again after the birth of her son, I'm not sure I could have tolerated being around him and the constant reminder.

  2. Thank you for writing such a heartfelt post, and congratulations for having it featured. I feel the same way right now, in that my sister-in-law (hubby's brother's wife) is expecting her first baby - a boy - who was SUPPOSED to be 2-3 months younger than my twins. Instead, my babies died early in the second trimester while her pregnancy has carried on. I avoided her gender reveal party and in fact didn't even see her in person for over 10 weeks after our loss. I want so badly to be happy for them and I want to love their child, and maybe I will, but I know this little boy will forever remind me of what I lost, and that's a terrible burden to carry as an auntie.

  3. Fantastic post. So relatable. Thanks for sharing. It's like something I could have (sadly) written myself.

  4. Congratulations. I remember when you wrote it (I think I even commented).

There's a discussion going on at "Hopping to a New Normal" about the intricacies of (maintaining) friendships.

You are not alone (but I hope you know that already, smile).
