Our air conditioner is broken.
We live in South Florida.
It is hot in here.
I have two small children who are having trouble sleeping.
I can't wait for the repairman to get here.
It is very hot in here.
Dealing with the loss of a child is never easy, but it's even more difficult when you are an expat living far from home. Life will never be "normal" again and so now the challenge is to find my new normal. I am now back in the USA and the proud parent of two daughters, born using two different egg donors. "Frostina" and "Olea" are the loves of my life and I feel so grateful for the amazing women who donated their eggs and made my family possible.
Ugh, awful. It is hot where I live, too (Phoenix), and I can't imagine being without A/C for long.
ReplyDeleteHope it gets fixed soon.
Oh this I can empathise with. It gets really HOT here in India too. Mercifully nights are not so bad.
ReplyDeleteI CAN NOT handle the heat, like at ALL. We had an issue with our AC unit about a month after we moved into our new (can i call it that 2 years later?) home and I was a hysterical mess. I can't function so I totally get this. Hell hath no fury like a momma with two living babies who can.not.sleep! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm from Rio de Janeiro and I've lived in Bangkok before. Currently living in Manila and I never ever got used to the heat! AC is definetely one of men's best inventions of all time!

Barbaridades!
Oy... I hope he/she comes soon. That you're getting some relief tonight.
ReplyDeleteWas the repairman able to come and fix it? It's quite hard to deal with the heat for a long period of time, what more with children in the mix. Hope your AC is holding out!

Awww! Have you gotten your A/C repaired by now? Repair shops are everywhere, so it's not that hard to find one. However, if your A/C is beyond repairing, you can always purchase a new one. There are lots out there that are excellent and cost-efficient at the same time. All the best!

It could be a bit of a bummer to lose an A/C unit just like that, after having been acclimated to it and basked in its relief. However, that has been a while now, so I bet that quiet little snafu has been a distant past at this point. I hope you are faring better these days. All the best!
